Ansible Role DNS

This Ansible role helps set up DNS servers on network interfaces.

Dependencies

There are no dependencies.

Examples

• Specify the interface name where the options apply. This is important as changes are made in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 to keep them after a reboot:

dns_intname: eth1

• List your nameservers like this, making sure to include DNS1=, DNS2=, etc.:

dns_nameservers: 
  - "DNS1=192.168.1.10"
  - "DNS2=10.0.2.3"

• Define the domain name for DNS lookups:

dns_search: local.domain
