Ansible Role: Snowflake Proxy

This Ansible Role installs and sets up the Snowflake proxy on GNU/Linux and FreeBSD systems.

Background

Snowflake proxies help the Tor network fight censorship. They are a type of bridge that is being developed to provide more options for bypassing restrictions. These bridges allow users in places where Tor is blocked to access the network. For more information, visit https://snowflake.torproject.org/.

Requirements

You need root access or be a sudo user to run this role.

Role Variables (not applicable for FreeBSD)

clients: 0

The default maximum number of clients is 0, meaning there is no limit.

There are no dependencies.

Example Playbook

- hosts: servers
  roles:
      - nvjacobo.snowflake

Example Playbook with Client Variable

- hosts: snowflake
  vars:
    clients: 300
  roles:
     - nvjacobo.snowflake

In this example, the playbook allows for a maximum of 300 concurrent clients.
