Example Playbook

This example is taken from molecule/default/converge.yml and is tested on each push, pull request and release.

  roles:
    - role: robertdebock.cron
      cron_jobs:
        - name: my_job
          # Every 10 minutes
          minute: "*/10"
          # In the 23rd hour.

The machine needs to be prepared. In CI this is done using molecule/default/prepare.yml:

Role Variables

The default values for the variables are set in defaults/main.yml:

# The shell to use for running cronjobs.
cron_shell: /bin/bash

# The path to set for running jobs.

# The address where mails should be sent to.
cron_mailto: root
