Package list

The package list which is included in this role has been selected for a Gymnasium. It includes many programs like:

- Language: parley, gnome-dictionary (together with a local dict server for fast queries), ktouch

- SQL (MySQL Database Server with local Database for students)

- Needed tools like Vim, emacs, git, eclipse

Reasons: To learn how networks work. Students don’t have the permissions to actually sniff the network of course but there are many dumps which can be analyzed.

The compressed image size is currently 9.6 GiB which is tiny compared to a Windows 7 image (with basically nothing useful in it).

The package list was generated for Linux Mint 17 LTS Qiana (based on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS). If you use a different distribution or release, checkout the Ansible role ypid.packages which can help you to generate a matching package list. Once I have tested a different release, I will include the matching package lists to make them easier accessible.

Installation

This role requires at least Ansible v2.1.3. To install it, run:

ansible-galaxy install ypid.linuxmuster_net_client

To install via git, run either:

git clone https://github.com/ypid/ansible-linuxmuster_net_client.git ypid.linuxmuster_net_client
