udev-usbmon

Simple role to change permissions of usbmon devices via udev.

Adds a udev rule for changing the permissions of usbmon devices to allow anyone who is in the specified group to use usbmon.

Installation

This role requires at least Ansible v1.3. To install it, run:

ansible-galaxy install ypid.udev-usbmon

To install via git, run either:

git clone https://github.com/ypid/ansible-udev-usbmon.git ypid.udev-usbmon
git submodule add https://github.com/ypid/ansible-udev-usbmon.git ypid.udev-usbmon

Role variables

List of default variables available in the inventory:

# System group for all devices created by the ``usbmon`` kernel module (usually :file:`/dev/usbmon[0-9]+`).
# You will need to add your users to that group in order to have access to this device.
