Ansible Role: Papertrail

Papertrail works with rsyslog and its utility, remote_syslog2. This role sets up everything needed to use Papertrail on EL6/7, Debian 8, and Ubuntu 16.04 systems.

Requirements

You need to have rsyslog installed.

Role Variables

• papertrail_version: The version of the remote_syslog tool you want to use.
• papertrail_files: A list of log file paths that you want remote_syslog to send to Papertrail.
• papertrail_host: The hostname given by Papertrail for you to use.
• papertrail_port: The port number provided by Papertrail for you.
