mate_desktop

This is an Ansible role designed to install the MATE Desktop environment on Red Hat-based systems, such as CentOS 8, CentOS 7, and Fedora. While it hasn't been tested on RHEL, it should still work. For CentOS 8, since there is no EPEL package for MATE, it uses the official unofficial repository for MATE for EL8.

Please note that I no longer use MATE, so I may not update this role much. If you're interested in taking over the project, please reach out to me.

Requirements

This role is intended for graphical workstation installations.

Role Variables

There are no specific variables for this role.

Dependencies

This role depends on the repo-epel role to install the EPEL repository on CentOS.
