Ansible ndench.fakes3 role

ndench.fakes3 is an Ansible role which:

• installs fakes3
• configures fakes3 service
• (optional) create fakes3 bucket, by installing s3cmd
• allows development against the S3 API

Installation

Using ansible-galaxy:

$ ansible-galaxy install ndench.fakes3

Using requirements.yml:

- src: ndench.fakes3

Using git:

$ git clone https://github.com/ndench/ansible-role-fakes3.git ndench.fakes3

Dependencies

• Ansible >= 2.4
• {"role"=>"geerlingguy.ruby", "become"=>true}
• (Fake S3 license key)[https://github.com/jubos/fake-s3#licensing]

Variables

Here is a list of all the default variables for this role, which are also available in defaults/main.yml.

TODO

• use ansible aws_s3 module to create the bucket instead of s3cmd
  • need to update to ansible 2.5 beacuse of a bug with 2.4
  • https://github.com/ansible/ansible/issues/33083
• get docker build working (vagrant works fine)
  • issue is to do with docker not being able to run systemd or upstart

Testing

$ git clone https://github.com/ndench/ansible-role-fakes3.git
$ cd ansible-role-fakes3
$ make test

Contributing
