satellite_storage
satellite_storage
An Ansible role for configuring logical volumes and mount points for Red Hat Satellite Server(s) and Capsule(s). Of course, it's also compatible with Foreman and Katello.
Requirements
- Ansible 2.8 or higher
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 or CentOS 7
- Valid Red Hat Subscriptions
Warning
This role doesn't pay attention if the mount points already exist or not, it will just blindly try to create them.
Role Variables
Currently the following variables are supported:
General
satellite_storage_become
- Default: true. If this role needs administrator privileges, then use the Ansible become functionality (based off sudo).satellite_storage_become_user
- Default: root. If the role uses the become functionality for privilege escalation, then this is the name of the target user to change to.

See Satellite 6 Installation Guide - 1.2.1. Storage Requirements for details on sizing.
